‘Classic Rewind’ Opens Tomorrow
Classic Rewind, the new musical by Shawn Kjos, opens tomorrow. But it’s not going to be in the Harlequin this time. It’s going to be performed at the historic and visually opulent Ft. Sam Houston Theatre, also on the base.
In the true Kjos style, Classic Rewind is a concert-style music revue, this time spotlighting the singer-songwriters and classic rock bands of the 1970s. It features music written and performed by such artists as Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Linda Ronstadt, Rod Stewart, Elton John, Queen, Janis Joplin, Kiss and Heart. With such a mixture of songs and talent, there’s something for everyone to get their groove on.
When ArtScene SA attended a rehearsal last night, we were impressed by the big singing and the big sound. This is the Harlequin turned up to 11!
